How to prepare your apartment visitation?

Choosing a new place to live in Japan can be overwhelming. Here are some things you need to decide before going to a real estate agency. Your agent will for sure ask you for this information.

Budget : What is your maximum budget?

Type : Apartment ? House ?

Area : Where do you want to live? Which station? How far from the station by walk?

Size : How large do you need your new home to be?

Bedrooms : How many rooms do you need?

What are other important criteria to you? (which floor? bath and toilets separated? Need for an elevator? …)

People : How many people will live with you?

Nationality, occupation and proficiency in Japanese : Landlords always ask for this basic information when we check on properties.

By giving all this information to your agent beforehand, the process will go much smoother!
Also, always bring a copy of your passport and resident card with you in case you decide on putting in an application for a property!
